Emergence
Emergence
Description
Part of my Imagined Places series. One original mixed-media photo-encaustic piece was made (SOLD), so only small open edition pieces are available. The swirling newton rings found in the image are an artifact of the film scanning process (occurring when multiple pieces of film are sandwiched together in the film holder
Emergence is a combination of multiple images. 1) A flowering quince, 2) a blossoming fruit tree, and 3) a pinhole image of vibrant, low-growing flowers. They signify the feeling of new growth, early Spring energy and it’s one of my favorite images I’ve ever created.
