Fade
Fade
Description
Part of my Imagined Places series. One original mixed-media photo-encaustic piece was made (SOLD), so only small open edition pieces are available. The swirling newton rings found in the image are an artifact of the film scanning process (occurring when multiple pieces of film are sandwiched together in the film holder
Fade is a combination of multiple images. One is of a frozen frost-covered pond taken in North Dakota many years ago. The second, of wild bear grass, was taken with a pinhole camera on a hike in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State.
