I’m exhibiting brand new photographs in “Bold Visions” at Columbia City Gallery as part of a 2-person featured show with the very talented textile artist Fin’es Scott as she exhibits portraits of Black Joy (they are breathtaking).

These are images with a focus on abstract, graphic shapes, part of a larger series I’m developing of abstracted industrial things. This smaller collection is based on industrial ships and boats from marinas. The majority of these nautical photographs are from various marina’s I’ve visited in the last few months, with a focus on Shilshole Marina in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. If you’ve seen the Deadliest Catch, you’ll find someo of those very same commercial ships in dock. The densely packed marina has forced me to get inventive with my wide angle lens, so I’ve turned to capturing some smaller details and little moments that jump out amongst the sun and shadow. Here’s a selection of images on view.
